Our standard media come as round steel balls. Other shapes are available on request. Steel balls are supplied both in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel to different tolerances depending on customer specifications. Steel balls can also be supplied plated with chrome, zinc or nickel. Steel balls are available in both metric and imperial dimensions. Some typical weights and sizes are illustrated below.

Burnishing Media are used for the ball burnishing process during mass finishing. Metallic components can be polished up to a mirror finish using an appropriate combination of machine, media and compound. Typical steel ball burnishing applications include jewelry and cutlery polishing.
